Suicide remains one of the most pressing challenges in the construction industry — an issue that requires both awareness and sustained action. This session brings together Construction Suicide Prevention Week (CSPW) and CIASP’s Pathways Project to explore how companies and individuals can move beyond one week of awareness to create lasting, industry-wide change.
Attendees will learn how CSPW serves as a national catalyst for engagement — mobilizing teams, breaking stigma and amplifying resources and tools. This work doesn’t stop on Friday of CSPW; we want companies to feel empowered to take action year round. Organizations like CIASP, help you do just that. CIASP’s Pathways Project provides a roadmap for organizations to assess, plan and implement comprehensive suicide prevention and mental health strategies year-round.
Participants will gain practical tools to combine both efforts—using the Pathways framework to build sustainable programs and CSPW as a powerful annual touchpoint to reinforce them. Peer examples, ready-to-use resources and jobsite-tested communication tools will be shared to help organizations of any size take action today and make mental health and suicide prevention an integrated part of construction safety culture.
