Speaking Proposals due by

The Associated General Contractors of America is now accepting proposals for a limited number of speaking opportunities for educational breakout sessions at AGC’s 99th Annual Convention, February 26-28, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Louisiana.

AGC’s 99th Annual Convention is designed for mid- to senior-level management professionals who work in any of the commercial construction markets: building, federal, heavy, highway and transportation, and municipal and utilities. All educational sessions should be targeted towards these attendees. An important goal of the Convention is to provide high-quality educational sessions for construction executives and professionals. Our two-and-a-half day, multiple-track format is focused on topics that reflect current and emerging issues in construction. Special consideration will be given to presentations that are focused on best practices and the unique challenges that construction contractors face throughout the industry.

It is required that your proposal fall into one of the following educational tracks:

  • Financial Management/Business Development
  • Highway, Transportation and Infrastructure
  • Insurance and Risk
  • Job Site Productivity
  • Safety
  • Technology
  • Workforce
Presentations cannot be sales pitches. If you are a consultant, product or service supplier to the construction industry, you MUST add a contractor co-presenter. Submissions that DO NOT include contractor(s) will not be considered, except under extraordinary circumstances.

Ready to Submit?

All proposals must be submitted online HERE by Friday, September 15, 2017. To submit a proposal you will need to create a free Proposal Space account, then select AGC’s 99th Annual Convention from the list of programs to begin building your proposal. Individuals will only be able to submit a maximum of three proposals.

  3. Select AGC’s 99th Annual Convention Call for Proposals
  4. Start building your proposal

Speaker Expenses

Each selected session will be granted a MAXIMUM of three complimentary, non-transferable, full standard Convention registrations for speakers. Please note that any Convention activities that require an additional fee or ticket purchase will be the sole responsibility of the speaker(s). Selected speakers will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred in developing content or materials for his/her presentation, for hotel accommodations or for travel to/from the Convention.

Selection and Notification

Proposals must meet or exceed the criteria listed in the submission instructions. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee inclusion in the Convention schedule. All proposals will be reviewed and the point of contact notified whether or not their presentation was selected by Tuesday, October 23, 2017.
